So, why does Microsoft Messenger work but Adium doesn't?

I hate using MS on Macs but I need my MSN fix... So, why does it work but Adium doesn't connect? Where can I find the settings to copy?

Are you behind firewalls, closed ports, etc.?

If it doesn't work through aMSN and similar, it sounds like the problem isn't isolated to adium.

Yeah, but I don't know what. I can only use Port 8080...
