I don't think anyone that actually knows has said, but since the iPods don't come with one I doubt that the iPhone will come with a charger.

I'm sure it will. No one would buy a cell phone without a charger, I don't think. Plus, Apple can surely afford it at the price they're asking.

plus since a mac is not required to make it funcitonal (though not having a computer to use with it would make the phone somewhat worthless) it would have to come with a charger.

SJ said it would in the keynote - it looks just like an iPod dock (in fact I think you can use it as an iPod dock as well)

i'm betting no charger.

or it'll be firewire and everyone will need to retrofit their PC to charge their tele.

the world would be a better place if more people used firewire.

especially the 800 variety. i want a firewire800 iPod. for no reason other than i have this nice firewire 800 port that gets no use...

anyways... carry on.

They better have something a bit more simple than a dock. It's easy for me to throw my 1 piece Nokia charger into my backpack. If I had to take 3 items with me dock, cable and AC adapter I would be less prone to do so. If Apple doesn't offer a solution I'll bet 3rd parties will be all over it.

I'm more interested to see how scratch resistant this thing is. If it is scratch prone will an Invisible Shield work with the touch screen.?

I thought they said multiple times that it comes with a dock. Why don't you go check the original mac rumors post where they list all the things it comes with?

It'll have one, don't worry.

Yeah it will have to!

Or it will probably work with the standard dock to firewire iPod brick charger...but for the mobility factor and even the price, I'm sure it will come with one.

Wow...June can't come soon enough.

I'm guessing it will be a cradle ( dock ) with attached ( non removable ) cable utilizing USB 2.0 and an USB Power Adapter. However, I'd also guess that one could use a regular USB to Dock Connector cable -- Included with all of the iPods in the last few years --, if you'd prefer to instead of the cradle. Anywho. It's only likely two things to carry around. Just as if one had to carry around a Nokia AC charger and data cable.

Of course he realized it. He's a bored newbie who joined today and has spent the evening digging up ancient threads for his own amusement.

Sometimes it's a spammer looking for old threads to boost his post count. I've seen this lots of times.
