I just think the name is too long. I can't imagine ever saying "plug in the thunderbolt drive".

Sounds like something from a sci-fi movie. Engage the ThunderBolt Drive and jump ...to...light speed!

Hate may be too strong a word, but I do dislike it intensly.
Same with iPad… of course I have made my peace with it and as long s it actually brings me benefits I'm OK with it..

I did/do like Firewire though. It has a certain ring to it.

Yes I hate the name Thunderbolt.

But I also hated macbook, and macbook pro.

It just takes a while for the Apple mojo to get in your brain.

And the sooner you let it in, the better you'll feel.
