I. Can't. Get. Higher. Then. Two.

Wow do I s_ck at Flappy Bird. Simple game hard as h3ll to stay alive. The rest of this post is blanco, the color of my surrender flag. : - (

IGN got me into it, they posted a review about the game and it's frustrating level of difficulty.

So I figured I'd check it out since it's free and all. I immediately got hooked(I love difficult games like that, Super Crate Box, Super Meat Boy) and started telling my friends about it and posting on Facebook.

It spread like wildfire cause everyone was trying to top one another.

I just wish the leaderboards weren't still screwed up, so we could see who actually is the top at the game. I know not that many people scored 9,999 points.

When I read the reviews I decided not to get it.

In essence they all say, "this game really pisses me off, but I have to keep playing it."

It made me afraid, very afraid.

As well it should.

A friend got the game, and now she sits in a corner, tapping all day.

Once in a while she pauses long enough to plead, "Help! Make me stop playing this stupid game!".

It's pretty sad to see.

I'm going to avoid it for as long as possible. ;)

The only reason why the game is hard is because people think too hard about getting a higher score just by trying again and again, and not actually understanding HOW you should play and the strategy you should take.

If a game frustrates you as much as Flappy Bird does, then stop playing it. Like honestly. I come home and my brother screams at his device, and it is a game that causes disruptions at his school because of the same reason.

Put your determination into something else instead of trying to guide a bird past replica Super Mario tunnels. Tons of other games out there that won't drive you as nuts.

I don't know, I moved on after a few minutes, maybe I just played too many "high difficulty" flash games in the past and I prefer games like Super Meat Boy where high difficulty is combined with the feeling of an actual "reward" like progressing further in the game without depending on a lucky sequence of obstacles...

Notice the banner ad being displayed at the top of the screen when you start the game.

And when you inevitably fail, 10 seconds later, and restart, notice another banner ad being displayed at the top of the screen.

So over the course of a day you'll show yourself dozens and dozens of banner ads.

Multiply times millions of people playing the game, over and over...

Someone was pretty crafty.

Interesting what a game like Flappy Bird triggers in humans - the game's basics are so simple, it doesn't need explaining, but having made it so hard to play - it causes people to go literally crazy, and makes the game one of the most addictive ones to play. I did not manage to escape this trap either ;)

I played the PC version, but still pretty good.
