Soft Raid with Catalina

I have a OWC disk array configured with SoftRaid.
Their instructions require disabling the T2 chip. I dont use the array as a boot drive, and think its overkill over other options as ive had the array for over 3 years.
Not sure what other users experiences are with softraid and catalina and I have been holding off upgrading.

Between T2 and temp removal of SIP, but at least there is version 5.8 - and s beta has begun for 6.0.
