Who cares? I spent about $20k on my Mac Pro, but I was able to use 3rd party ram, third party NVMEs, and through in a 2080TI for the windows side. I'm not asking apple to release a new card, I'm just asking them to sign the drivers that Nvidia has developed.

Perfect example of an idiot move that Apple loves---if they can't provide you with the tools you need for the job, why on Earth do you fork out so much cash??! Apple is laughing all the way to their offshore bank with that attitude: spend 20K with us, then turn an over-priced under-performing thing you bought into a plain old Windows box that would've cost you a fraction of the price had you been intelligent with money! Lesson: quit following the cult and buy the tools you need!

Not an idiot move, I need to use some software that only runs on apple's system. Also, if I spend the same money on a PC, it will be worth a lot less in a few years. I'll just sell this system to a fanboy when I'm ready to upgrade. I'm not sure why you're on the side of forcing people to use slower outdated hardware at a premium...

I don't get your logic, are you saying that the software that you need requires you to have the MP and the outdated overpriced GPU, yet you need to use the nVidia card on the Windows side? Could you not get the bare minimum Apple box like a mini and do proper work on Windows with nVidia, for example?

I'm not on the side of forcing people to use the slower outdated hardware at a premium, that's an idiot move, and that's precisely what Apple expects of its customer base nowadays. Simply put: when G4 powerbooks were coming out, I happily spent money on them because they were ahead of anything Intel had, when G5 mac pros were coming out---years ahead; with the latest cheese grater, it was outdated (thanks to AMD) before the first unit shipped, and people still buy it and whinge that it's expensive and Apple doesn't support X, Y, or Z; Apple is about making $$$ not about catering to its customers, if customers buy outdated expensive junk because "ecosystem," why would Apple even consider changing?
