Software bootup problems (garageband)

Hi guys,
Firstly, when i turn on my mac the garageband menu screen automatically opens (despite it not being on my dock or ever having used it..)
Any ideas to get rid of this ?

Load up System Preferences then click on Accounts --> Your Account Name --> then click on the 'Login Items' tab and tick off GarageBand.
