Newbe to Macs.--What are the best sites to download software and software utilities for Macs?

but i mean, if you do a google search for the kind of app that you want, it should lead you in the right direction.

CNet's Download.com usually is the best. Pick the Mac section, they'll have all sorts of features and reviews and recommendations.

Thanks for the replies. I used Download.com for PC software and didn't think to check for a mac section. I did check Tucows and they have a mac section too but not as good as Downloads.

Hi there. A good place to start would be searching MRoogle for "cool mac apps" or something of that sort.

Also, check out this list I made. It has some kick-ass software on there.

I like osx.iusethis.com

The above-mentioned sites are better, but I recently discovered iusethis and it's sort of cool to browse the site and see which apps have a lot of attention.
