Software for watching DV from Firewire?

Is there any software that will simply allow me to watch DV coming from a Firewire source?

All I want to do is watch TV (using my analog-to-digital converter) on my Mac, but it's really impractical to load Final Cut Pro for its capture screen when there ought to be a standalone program for this. 🙂
