I recently obtained a used G4 power mac with a lot of Adobe software already installed, but without the disks. If I update the OS (10.5) with my own disk does any body know for sure if the Adobe licenses will get transferred so I can use these programs?

OS upgrades should not have any affect on the licensing of Adobe products unless you attempt to upgrade those individual products (and even then, its unlikely to be an issue).

OS updates update the OS, not Adobe products.

ETA: This assumes that you do an upgrade and not an erase and install or anything else.

Thanks

Thanks for that - I should clarify that the my OS disk is really a re-install - wiping out the identity of the previous owner and using a new password.

Still safe to do?
