I've had a request from a client, asking if I can produce animated graphs of financial data - bars appearing, lines extending - that sort of thing. They'll be output as movies and sent to be used in their presentations, which I don't have access to.

I'm sure that I can kludge something together, but I was wondering if there are any packages or techniques out there specifically for this? The simpler the better - input the numbers, select a style, output result would be ideal, but I don't mind doing it manually if necessary. I've got a whole heap of software - MS Office 2008, iWork 09, Photoshop / Illustrator, plus a whole bunch of 3D apps.

    Thanks in advance.

Possibly, though ideally I'd like to be able to animate say, the rise in numbers over time, and I don't think Keynote can do this.

    Cheers!

You might be able to get something like that using magic move, but I haven't tried it.

Would the Magic Move feature in Keynote '09 do what you want with a little tweaking?

EDIT: didn't see the post by telecomm, sorry.

You know, I'd actually forgotten about Magic Move... never used it, but it's worth a bash - thanks!
