DupeGuru for the duplicate stuff, just don't delete any system files on your internal HDD in Library and System.

hmm, isn't that just for files ?

    Your files at your fingertips

Blast keeps track of the files you’ve been using on your computer and gives you super easy and lightning fast access to them.

From the Desktop (Finder) do a Find (File > Find). A Window will open with the search term: Kind is Any

    Change Any to Application.

Press the + button to add another criterion. Set it to:

Last Opened is Before some early date

Make sure of where you are searching (Desktop, a single file, whole machine). Applications will be listed. You can look at them and decide what you don't need.
