hello there.. im about to make final decisions on which raid setup to use (tending to 4 disc raid 10) but am wondering how i would be notified if any of the mirrored discs fail.. does osx give you a warning or do you need to manually check/validate the discs in disk utitlity? (im talking about software raid here).. if i need to manually check i almost don't see the point of raid 1 - might as well go for a 3 disc raid 0 setup..
