Hi!
I have a PowerBook G4 (1.67 Mhz, PPC)

It originally came with OS 10.2.8, and over the years, i've upgraded to 1 GB RAM and a 120 GB HD, and I've installed Leopard on it through a FireWire hard drive.

I'm currently planning to sell my laptop, but when I tried booting from my Software Restore DVD, system hangs and crashes, with the translucent grey screen, asking me to Shut Down by holding the power button, and it says the same in the 4 other languages.

I don't know how to restore my laptop to its original factory settings despite having the original software restore DVD?

Please help me out ASAP???

Kind Regards,
Sam.

Sounds like a kernel panic. You might try repairing permissions. Another suggestion might be to try removing the additional ram and then try to reinstall.
