Long time lurker of the forums, just ordered a new 27" iMac so I figured it was about time I made an account here. Been wanting to make the switch to an iMac for several years, but finally had the financial means to do so. I've done my fair bit of research as to what software I will be using, but I'd like to know what you guys recommend.
Specs:
My uses for the iMac are the following:
Price isn't a HUGE issue as far as software goes, but keep it reasonable. I don't need the $1,000/$2,000 Adobe Suites or anything like that.

- 3.4GHz i7
- 8GB RAM (Will upgrade to 32GB myself)
- 3TB Fusion Drive
- GTX 680MX 2GB
My uses for the iMac are the following:
- Heavy video editing/production
- Quite a bit audio editing/production
- Some photo editing
- Music/Movies
- Basic office needs (word processing, spreadsheets, etc...)
- Some gaming (I am aware the 3TB Fusion Drive cannot be used with Bootcamp at this time)
