I'm hoping I can find some mac software that can calculate how much of a region is occupied by a certain color. I can't think of a great way to describe it, but I've seen it before... basically, I'm looking at high res pictures taken off of a microscope, and need to determine what % of the area is 'dark', and what % is 'light'.

Anything that can do this?

just off the top of my head I think in the Info window of Photoshop you will see the amount of pixels contained within a selection...

if i am right

use the magic wand and/or other tools to select the color/area

then do the calculations.

i could be wrong though!
