So I updated my 2G 8gig iPhone with the latest software awhile ago and have been experiencing issues with the keyboard and bottom part of the screen in general. It has gotten progressively worse, as now I cannot respond to a text message because the bottom part of the screen is unresponsive and when in safari I can't put spaces in searches, same thing in maps, etc. I tried doing a hard reset and a complete restore to no avail, aside from taking it into the store, what are some other things I could try to fix it? (Right now I will accept throwing it against a wall as a reasonable response):mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I had the same problem with my 2G, wasnt necessarily after an update, but the bottom part of the screen wouldnt function on certain things, like sending text messages and using the bottom part of the keyboard....

Took it to the Apple store and they said that it was due to "wear and tear" and would not do ANYTHING!! I have read about many other people having this problem and Apple continues to ignore it...I now have a 3G that I bought and will not be able to upgrade to the 3GS anytime soon without a huge fee...
