Hi,
First thread and a bit of a rant, so be kind 🙂
I've done a search on this in the Forums and haven't seen anything in relation to this; but wondered if anyone else has found the new version of Software Update in Leopard really annoying?
When running an update that required a restart in Tiger, it would download and install in the background and restart when I wanted it to. No with Leopard, I get taken to a blue screen while it downloads and installs ... then it restarts! It takes ages and stops me from using my Mac. Now software updates are a pain rather than something to look forward to.
This seems like a big step backward. Hopefully they'll put it back the way it was - unless there is a preference or setting to make it download/ install in the background that I haven't found yet??
Anyone else noticed this?
