i have been having screen issues with my watch, but the update I did yesterday burned the Apple logo into my screen. 24 hours later and it is still there.

Did anyone else have this problem?

So you're saying after you did a Software update with the Apple Watch, the Apple logo is permanently burned into the OLED display? Can you Post a picture capturing the image? I have never heard of this before, especially given the millions of Apple Watch users that likely update their Apple Watch and not reported anything similar.

Is that an original 1st gen? How long did your update take?
First gen and I let it go overnight, just woke up to it updated so I don’t know. Dealing with Apple on the phone and the consistent message is too bad you are out of warranty. I’m sending it in anyway to see what the issue is.

I bought the watch in December 2015, it’s not even 2 years.

Dumb question for you - have you powered it completely down and back on? I wonder if that might clear it...

Yup, unpaired and all. Apple Canada to the rescue. I originally spoke to the American call centre and they said I’m out of luck. Called back and spoke to the Canadian call centre and the rep had no problems arranging for a free repair. I should get the box to send it in this week.

I doubt they repair it. They’ll probably send you a replacement. Maybe even a Series 1.

Same OLED burnin for me since 3 month and Apple don't want to repair it... Reclaim 229€ out of warranty repair!
Bought the watch in may 2015 @ Apple Store online
