Software Update does not detect 10.5.7 as an available update

My iMac (2.8 GHz) running OS 10.5.6 does not detect any OS update available. Does anyone have any clue why this might be happening? Thanks in advance.

Meaning you ran software update in system prefs and it responded that there were no updates for your Mac? Just being sure here.

Make sure it hasn't already applied. Click the Apple Menu and choose About this Mac. If it still says 10.5.6, you can download the standalone updater from Apple: http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_7_Update
