The most recent software update is hanging on my iMac. When choosing the install and restart option, it goes to install the items and just hangs there indefinitely. Any ideas or suggestions?

Try shutting the computer off and leaving it off for a few minutes. Restart it and with no programs running try to update again. Good luck!
Get the right COMBO update from the Apple Downloads site (not using the Software Update under the Apple menu item on the iMac) and install it.
