With Mojave there are now two places to check for Apple software updates, "Software Update" in System Preferences, and "Updates" in App Store.

Off the bat, why? Totally unnecessary... And now, where to check for what? There hasn't been enough OS updates for me to have noticed, sorry, so need some feedback...

Updates in the mac app store are for apps but the one in system preferences are for system updates.

I noticed that on Sierra my purchases included just about everything I purchased online.

But with High Sierra and Mojave they don't go as far back - not sure where that cut off is.

For Example - I purchased Lion - 15 oct 2011 - does not show as a purchase in HS or Mojave - (but still shows in Sierra)

My HS shows everything I've ever purchased! My MacBook came with Lion, but Mountain Lion shows up.

I liked it better when it was all combined. To now have it two different places is plain stupid!

And, my purchases go back to 2011, and I am sure had at least a few OS from earlier than that. Not that I need them:)

Finally, I have the five iLife (GarageBand, iMovie, Keynote, Numbers, and Pages) ones at the top, and am asked to adopt these. But when I do, I am told that "Could not assign applications to your account"?????

I get the very same response - anyone know how to get around the problem? Rob

To be honest - it may have shown up in HS - but I can't tell anymore since I upgraded that install to Mojave. But for sure it is not there in Mojave so I am going to download Lion and save it on a back up disk ( not holding my breath that it will work when I need it but worth trying.

I am having the same problem as well.

I am having the same issue as well, but when I look in my Applications, all the apps it says I need to adopt are already in my Apps folder, so not even sure what it is.

Being honest, Mojave is the first time I'm really not happy I chose to do the Beta program. I've never done this before, but I think I'm going back to High Sierra after my work trip this weekend.
