Hi first time on here ive always kept upto date wioth software for MAcbook i have Leopard on it at the moment. I dont use it a great dealk so havent updated software in a little while , i have just received my Ilife 09 and asked me to install 8 updates before it could continue one being 10.4.7 i think it asked me to restart so it could install and i lkeft it configuring installation for 8 updates and when i came back 5 hours later the progress bar hadnt moved , so i have just picked 1 item to install and the bar moved about 5% and hasnt moved since . Does anyonehave an idea why its not installing these quickly?

I have plenty of memory on the MAcbook

Thanks

Ok i have managed to install 7 of the 8 updates biggest file was about 68 mb which installed reasonably quickly now i have started the the main update which is approx 785mb in size so i can understand it may take a while. Will come back in a while with update if works

Will since my last update i posted it still hasnt finsihed configuring installation
the progress bar went up again as it did before to about 5-10% but has stayed the same since then

Ok it doesnt seem to be working like that so ive tried to install by downloading the file from apple and it goes to the select a destination which it Macintosh HD ive 66 GB free and it says volume you cannot install mac OS X update to this volume .This volume doesnt meet the requirements for this volume .....what does this mean as the update is less than 500MB
