Software Update OSX 3.9 i-tunes, Reason, Quicktime failure

Hello, Since I updated my os x 3 to 3.9 via software update my i-tunes, quicktime and reason fail to open. Freeze. Application not responding. Tried disc utility repair and it worked then restarted and all fail again. Any ideas!?! Everything was fine before the software update.

You say you've tried disk utility. Was that disk repair or to repair permissions?
