Just did a clean install of 10.5. Now I cannot register any of my software through the preference panel. I also checked software update's installed updates and it lists only 4 updates and the rest as (null). When running software update I also get this message in the console:
1/14/08 7:43:36 PM Software Update[158] arguments=(null)

This is my 3rd clean install back to back.
After the first install, software update had a problem with the mbp keyboard update. It would not install correctly. I even did a download and install but software update keeps bringing it up as a new install.

I did not have this problem previously before I did a clean install. I had 10.5.1 I had alot of console messages so I decided to do a clean install to see if I can get rid of them but now it seems I have even more problems.

Any help is much appreciated.

Unfortunately, you may have a faulty hard drive or logic board. I would suggest going into your nearest apple store to have them check it out. I had to get my both my logic board and my HD replaced when I couldn't update the software in 10.5.
