Software update problem.

Everytime my software update asks me to restart and install my new updates,

I get stuck at "Installing 5 Items" with a stagnant progress bar saying "Configuring Installation" so I always have 5 un-installed updates.

How do I fix this?

Bizarre. What updates in particular? Do other updates work just fine, or are these the most recent five?

All updates have been working fine, just recently these 5 never get installed. As for what softwares they are I haven't check, I just shut down the laptop cause it was stuck....

Try deleting everything inside /Library/Updates.

Quicktime H.264 Compatibility 7.5.5
Mac OS X Update 10.5.6
