    Hi,

My macbook pro (bought oct 2009 - i think) is stuck on a black screen with a wheel spinning round with some blue (looks like highlighted) lies on it. I have to be truthful I havnt switched off my macbook in a while, I had some wondows I didnt want to close, but I needed to do a software update, and it was becoming slow, so i fordced quit the unresponsive programs, safari and mozilla, as they said there was a problem with my wifi, but there wasnt, and then forced quit mail as it continuously told me that i couldnt restart with my sofware upates until i closed mail. THEN it told me to log off, so i logged off, then left my computer for a while... I have no clue whats going on, any help, e.g. force quit or special commands would be amazing, or do I need to take it to the apple store?

    Thank youu
