any way to go from 10.6.8 to 10.7.4? seems my MBP is not able to get Lion 10.8.4 , but I dont see a way to download 10.7.4 at all.

PS. trying to get started with "X" code, seems it requires 10.7.4 to download

As far as I understand it, OS X 10.7 Lion is not for sale in Mac AppStore anymore.

You would have to call Apple to order Lion.
