Yes! man i really sold my iphone 5 because of the headphones jack placement and many other little annoyances like horrendous battery life , and i have tried everything from all the other posters sugested ,maybe my phone was one of the first with a bad battery , i dont know.

And to the horror of the crowd that wants the next iphone as thin as a piece of paper and with the same weight as a sheet of paper oh ! how can i say that , not enough weight in your hand to feel like something well made - annoyance , and for the gods sake Apple , why you could have not kept the same thickness as iphone 4s and added a thicker battery to get you trough a couple of days of Lte, i mean in my opinion iphone 4 feels perfect in your hand meaning weight and thickness of it.

The speed i liked when At&T was providing it , but for speed i already have my ipad Lte, and 4s is not that bad either.

So that's all folks! all my annoyances with the iphone 5 , which resulted in selling it and waiting for the next big iphone from Apple , and no i am not a troll , thats just my opinion and you can have a diferent one too thats the beauty of our great country.:D

Really, Mate...

MacRumors should allow for a personal blog on users' page for these little life events that need to be published.

lol this is pretty funny but it's a very good point!! Texting while listening to something through the headphones is very annoying. Browsing or games is fine, but when it's time to text, it's very uncomfortable. I wouldn't be surprised if they moved it back to the top of the phone in the future.

It's like saying "I returned my new car because the exhaust was moved to the opposite side on this model."

Actually it's more like saying you returned your car because the seat had something jabbing in your back making it uncomfortable and irritating to drive.

No, actually it's not. I'm ambidextrous and mainly use my iPhone with my left hand, despite using my right hand slightly more dominantly for other things.

I've never once had an issue with it being on the bottom OR the top, like most normal people and users on this thread. The OP is being a drama queen and returned his device, just like my exhaust analogy.

You do know that you can turn the phone around and the screen will be in the right position...

This doesn't work in all situations.

How on earth does having your exhaust on the right or left hand side affect your ride.

The jack annoys me only when I am texting one handed with my right hand and my little finger catches it, but I normally type with two hands in both portrait and landscape.

You could always use bluetooth, but then again that doesn't help your battery dilemma.

Overall I love the look of the top of the phone now the jack is underneath, also I don't really have issues typing and my battery lasts a whole day so I guess thats why I am yet to complain.

It doesn't. That's the point. Having the jack on the bottom doesn't either, people just give it the illusion of being problematic.

seeing how their purpose was to get that kind of reaction from iphone users, I'd say the commercials are spot on.

 erm i'd say the purpose wasnt to piss off iphone owners.. it would be to make consumers think the s3 is more advanced then than the iphone... to get more units sold.

Well it quite clearly does as a user has sold his iphone 5 because of it.
I also noted that It affects me very slightly, but I love the phone to much to part ways ;)

I would never sell my iPhone 5 because of it, but I also HATE having the jack on the bottom. I use the phone while sitting on a cramped bus, and I have the habit of holding the phone against me while surfing, reading emails, etc. Well, doing that with the jack at the bottom is really difficult.

Also, when I fly, I like to keep the phone plugged into my extended battery, and while playing games in landscape, it used to be easier to have the earplug cord going through my fingers on one side, and the plug cord going through my fingers on the other. Now with having both cords on one side, it's very hard to hold the phone usably.

People are pissed about the commercials? I think the one where the dude mocks the headphone jack being on the bottom is pretty amusing. I mean, in theory it's fairly true.

I have always put my phone in my pocket upside down, its then in the correct position when you pull it out.

I'm a big fan of the socket change, when you make Facetime calls, you dont have to hold the cable round the back of the phone.

I hope they keep the socket at the bottom

I totally agree. And having both of them in the same place makes so much sense.

Having the jack on the bottom is annoying for me. It's awkward when I'm holding the phone and typing with the earphones in (because I rest the bottom of the phone against my palm). Also, when it's in my pocket it's easier to quickly check the time when I'm in a place where I can't have my phone out (now I have to pull the phone all the way out).

Have any of you guys tryed typing something , while listening to the iphone5 , how does the cord on the bottom of your palm feel ,thats what i am talking about , when i was holding in my palm while surfing the web and listening to music the cord was bumping against my pinky finger and that was what was bothering me so much about the cord on the bottom setup.

I don't have an iPhone, but have had zero problems listening & typing at the same time on my iPod.
