That's why you don't have your real checking account linked to your paypal account. You open a separate checking account for your paypal transactions and as soon as the money hits the checking account, you transfer it to your real checking account.Regardless, PayPal immediately withdrew the funds directly from my linked checking account without any explicit authorization from me
So that you would get hit with some sort of overdraft fees to top things off? That's why you don't have your real checking account linked to your paypal account. In that case that secondary bank account wouldn't really even be needed then. You can revoke pay pal's ability to withdraw with your bank.
Okay...so I received the iPhone back today (just now actually). It is my iPhone. IMEI and serial numbers match. I turned it on, popped in a SIM card and it walked me through set up like normal. The iPhone is NOT activation locked. It never asked me for a password at all when I was setting it up. It doesn't look like it's been tampered with in any way at all. So...I don't know. Now the only thing I can think of is either: 1. this person was a scammer and figured out I kind of knew what I was talking about or 2. buyers remorse and since I don't accept returns made up an issue to get me to refund it?
I am going to contact eBay and report the buyer for improper use of returns.

What are the rules on refunds? If you don't get everything back or get some things back that aren't the same ones that were sold, what's the rule when it comes to that? Perhaps some percentage can be taken off and only a partial refund given or something like that? I mean it can't be so that you are required to give everything back if you didn't get back what you were supposed to get back.Alright, this will be my final update on this matter. I received a message from the buyer asking where his refund was. Per eBay, the refund is due by 6/14/16. So, in my defense, I have 3 more days before I have to issue it to him. When he initiated the return, he has until 6/2/16 to send it and he sent it on 6/2/16. So, me being me and in the highly annoyed mood I'm in over the whole thing, messaged him to let him know that I have until said date and that it is not that date yet.
Also, what I did not post here and while not the biggest deal in the world, I'm annoyed by it. When I received the phone back I was very focused on the phone and making sure it was fine. The other day I was going through the accessories and everything. I never use the accessories from the Apple box. I like to keep them sealed and new in the box, as I always sell my devices and think the next owner would appreciate brand new accessories. I have a bunch of charging bricks and cables so I don't need more. Anyway, the charging brick that was sent back to me and the lightning cable were definitely not mine. I expected them not to be brand new any longer, however the cord was frayed and you could see the inside of it and the grey part of the charging brick was a pee-yellow. Like it has been used for years. I'm positive no amount of use in the month long period would make it discolor like that, nor would it cause as many scratches as were on it. I told him in the message in addition to being lied to to accept a return, I also did not appreciate receiving accessories that were not the ones I sent. It won't get me anywhere, but I felt as if I needed to say something, for the principle of the situation.
Whatever, I am so angry I just issued the refund to have this done and over with.
My family has mob connections, we take care of things ourselves. No need to get police involved. POS should be concerned about going out at night from now on.Last iPhone I sold the buyer sent me a message that the battery was no good. I knew for sure their was nothing wrong with the battery. So I informed him that my family is in law enforcement and if he was trying to scam me he would be caught and arrested. Next message was that he will buy a new battery off Craigslist. (My family is not in law enforcement).
And leave accurate feedback on this POS!
Sellers can't leave negative feedback. Only positive. And leave accurate feedback on this POS!
Would be nice if sellers could do that again. Now only positive feedback can be left for buyers or none.
Can sellers not leave neutral feedback either?
So leave a positive feedback. "Say you are positive this person is a scam artist and try's to cheat people. That's for sure absolutely positive, no doubt about it" and for good measure say how positive you are that selling on eBay is a hazard to honest people.I dont think they can.
Only positive feedback.
I'd still leave positive and post on the comment seller beware, fraudulent buyer. Or something similar.
Either way, it's best to stay away from selling on ebay.
