I sold my iPhone 12pm a week or so ago. I signed out of my iCloud and factory reset the device. The new owner inserted their sim card and started setting up the device. All good.
Today whilst checking my Apple account via my MBP, I noticed that it still shows the iPhone 12pm listed there, even the phone number of the person that bought it from me. Is there any reason why this has happened? Cheers.

I came across this old apple support thread...

Even if you remove iCloud from a device it might still show in your Apple Account. Remove them from their too.

Remove authorizations from iTunes Store.

Remove from iCloud (also check the iCloud website for logged in browsers)

Remove from Find My (may be redundant)

If you haven't done so yet. Enable Two Factor Authentication.

Cheers. So it appears that nothing is wrong or broken and this behavior is relatively normal. If so , it's all good then.
2FA has been active on my account and find my was disabled already as was the device removed from iCloud during transaction.
