id prolly just get a really cheap dell laptop to tide you over until you can get yourself back on top of your finances and buy something worth existing, eg, macbook pro refurb

A really cheep dell laptop would just be throwing away money if you're not planning on keeping it.
 
$900 is really good, considering it costs almost $867 (with california tax) to buy it with a full warranty from the apple refurb store. but i feel for ya. i sold two scotty cameron putters this week, because i, too, needed the money. 🙁
 
one word. Craigslist.

I don't think it was that great of a price - I almost got $1000 for it.

It was in impeccable condition, upgraded to 1GB ram, and came with a cover.

I'll be getting a Mac Pro and MBP combo when I get a small business loan to open my studio 🙂

as for now, i'm computer-less. :'(
