Solid State Drives compatibility

Has anyone installed anything like a samsung SSD 64gb SSD as their main system drive on their MP?

Im unsure as to whether or not they are even compatible.

If anyone has had experience did it feel worth the money?
 
The SSD will perform decent in the MP but will require a SATA adapter from 2.5" to 3.5" however there will be no appreciable performance gain with the SATA SSD vs a 7200 RPM SATAII drive
