I get that impression from feedback, or lack of as the case may be. I've seen a couple fail near the mounting point but seems like far less reports.

In terms of total failures, I’d say yes. My experience has been that most of my braided solo loops have stretched out over time and no longer fit as well. For some reason, some colors were worse than others, with the Atlantic Blue being the worst for me.

I don’t wear my silicone solo loop every day, but it doesn’t seem to stretch out as much. The downside with them in my experience is that the get some shine to them, like most silicone products after time.
