Solutions for High-Res audio on 2017 MBP

How do you guys achieve high res audio on the new MacBook Pros?? I used to run a 10m toslink cable from my DAC to my 2012 MacBook Pro but now that isn't an option now. Would like to preserve almost the same setup too if that helps.

It looks like that USB port on the DAC is an input. Just speculating here but I'm thinking you may be able to use the apple USB to USB-C adaptor to connect the computer to the DAC and then run out to speakers the same way you were before. Adaptor Link---https://tinyurl.com/mrslaqp

If you plug it in over USB, your mac will recognize it as an audio device. You can get USB C to USB B (2.0) cables quite inexpensively.
