Solved: I took some photos of a bug any guess as to what it is

I have a canon and took 4 photos of a bug today. Uploaded them to my mac mini. here are the photos. those are standard bricks. So I would think this winged beauty is about 3 inches long and a half inch wide. Kind of the same length and width as my pinky finger.

looks very close to the wiki photos. Never saw one In NJ or NY or CA. I have spent most of my 50+ years living in those 3 states. P.S. TY
