Edit: Problem solved with a reboot. See my post below.

When I listen to music with my earphones (Etymotic ER4P), the volume is much lower when turned all of the way up in comparison to my 3GS. I have sound check and and volume limit off. I'm using the same EQ setting as I was with my 3GS. I haven't tested boosting volume on a file by file basis in iTunes yet.

    Anyone else?

I wonder if it's a safety control feature so that you don't go deaf?

But that's what volume limit is for. Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone else is noticing this.

What about phone ringing - is it louder??

I was always missing calls due to the low ring volume

I haven't really tested that too much yet but the couple of calls I did have sounded fine volume-wise.

Problem solved. I tried listening to some music with WunderRadio and the volume was louder so I rebooted the phone and volume through iPod app was as I expect it to be. All is well now.

I'll leave this here in case anyone else has the same problem.
