some advice on a potential second hand purchase

Hi Guys,

Im looking at buying a mid 2011 27" imac. quad core 3.1 ghz 4GB ram 1TB hdd. with applecare until sept 2014.

I've been offered it at £975.

Firstly is this a good buy at this price?


I currently have the 2009 oct 27" core 2 and I use it for audio editing and im really starting to push it to its limits. Will this new machine be a notable upgrade?

well, I'm currently selling a 3.GHZ 27" 2GB GPU 16GB Ram for £1200 so I'd say that was a pretty good deal. The AC is worth it's weight in gold too.
