OK, so I've been reading these forums for a couple weeks now and I plan to buy either a macbook or macbook pro in the near future, but I still can't decide what route to go. I know this subject has been beat to death, but I still can't decide, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking at the base model macbook pro and the middle end macbook. If I go with the macbook I could afford to buy a cinema display (probably the 20", but the 23" is very tempting). I will be using it mainly for photo editing (RAW developer and photoshop elements 6.0 when the mac version is released.) I'll upgrade to CS3 at some point, but that's a bit more then I can afford right now. I also spend quite a bit of time on the net and have a massive library of music that I would like to keep on my machine...I've never been a huge ipod fan, but I burn allot of CD's. I'm not a gamer, so the independent graphics card doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but I want what ever I buy to last me at least three years. The only thing that scares me about the macbook is the build quality...I've read way to many threads about the cases cracking, separating or just falling apart in general. Anyway, please help me out...I know there will be some announcements at macworld that could sway my decision, but from what I've read most people aren't expecting any huge changes, so I'd probably go with the current models in order to save a few bucks.
