Some applications ignoring Focus mode

When I have focus mode turned on on my mac, I still receive notifications from some apps like Telegram. I'm not having this issue on iOS. Anyone else have this issue?

Have you double checked your Focus settings and made sure that none of these apps have been mistakenly allowed during Focus Mode?

Here’s an interesting datapoint from my Big Sur usage… I have a Filemaker database that uses a plugin to output sound when various events occur. Do not disturb settings (of which Monterey’s Focus setting is a more granular version) are completely ignored.

So I think that there’s some way for apps to go ”under”/“lower” the focus settings, resulting in the behavior you’re seeing.
