Some applications won't reopen centre screen, or full screen, for that matter, regardless of where I position the window.

Some applications, such as Dashboard, iCal, Stickies and Quicken, reopen just as I positioned them.

Others, such as Address Book, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, open nearly (but not completely) full screen, so I always have to them it a bit.

Still some, such as Text Edit and Windows Media Player, always open to a default position (typically, to the left of the screen) which is normally where I do not want them.

Does anyone know any command, option or trick that may help me get my Microsoft Word/Excel and Text Edit (or any and all) application windows to reopen as I left them?

Thanks.

Address Book's window position and size should be persistent. If it's not, the easiest way to get it to do it is to delete the plist in ~/Library/Preferences/

TextEdit won't for a number of reasons, but you can force it by editing in an NS Window Frame value into its plist.

The simple answer for any MS Office 2004 app is no. Same goes for WMP.

My friend, you were tremendously helpful in my other post, but I don't know what "editing in an NS Window Frame value into its plist" means. If it's not to complicated, maybe you could break down what you mean for me? Otherwise, it's no big deal, as this is not a problem, just a minor inconvenience due to my being finicky at times. Anyway, thanks again.
