Hi guys, this is happening to me after the iOS 11.4 update. Is it safe to enter my password? Only some apps want it.

This generally happens for those apps which were installed using a different Apple ID.

Not uncommon for that to happen. Should be fine.
I’ve never experienced this. I usually enter password only after a clean install or when I download new apps or songs, etc.

Which in my case is impossible.

Check and see if iCloud features you are using are functional (back ups, photo library, etc). If not back up to iTunes.

Restart the device.

Lastly and only if the above doesn’t fix the issue try logging out of iCloud. Verify it worked at icloud.com. Then log back in.

A lot of time this issue stems from an inability for the device to successfully communicate with iCloud. Often apps use iCloud for backing up data so you’ll get the message every time it tries.

Restart worked! How simple. Thanks mate :)

No problem, glad it worked. I was hoping you didn't need to log out of iCloud because that can be a massive PITA if you have other devices integrated with the iPhone (HomePod, Apple Watch, cellular iCloud services to Macs, iPads, etc).

Yeah, that would be.. unpleasant.
