I've got about a 3rd of my contacts being listed at the end of the alphabet markers under "#".

I've looked at them closely but can't find anything differentiating them.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What are you syncing them in from? Also, check that there is no leading whitespace, that might mess something up.

I'm syncing them from my MBP Address Book. I just checked and there's no "white space" in the contacts.

This happened when I first JB my 2G phone then when I had to re-JB it they all listed correctly. Then I noticed a few days ago that it was back to the same problem.

This happened to me because I sync my contact book with my Verirzon phone before my I phone and the names later as:

First: "John"
Last: "& Jane Doe"

So the "&" made it appear in the "#" group
