Some files were unavailable during the last backup

I can’t seem to get iCloud backups to work properly, both manual and automatic. I keep getting the error message “Some files were unavailable during the last backup.” I’ve tried all the recommended fixes like deleting the previous backup but it didn’t. Does anyone know exactly what this error message means and how to resolve it? Thanks.
