    I use Toast Titanium 8.0 with verbatim DL media for backups. No problems. Make sure you are using a dual layer disk for Leopard.

    Here's a good idea that I read. If you make a small partition on your external backup HD that you use for Time Machine, you can put the backup of Leopard on it. (small partition for the .dmg, large partition for TM)

    This way, if your internal crashes on you, you have everything you need to get back up and running on a replacement from your external...no Leopard disk required. Sounds so good, I need to get this done myself. ;)

    The disc juz keep spinning for a while and it got ejected..

    Mine got ejected, too.
    I just put it back in for the hell of it (while it was still on the gray screen), and it worked the second time.
    Weird.

    He meant what kind of blank DVD.

    Verbatim = Manufacturer

    DL = Dual Layer

    Media = Media

    i burnt using toast, in the end it couldnt be read.
    Can some kind souls kindly list down the steps to correctly burn it using toast?
    Many Thanks in Advance!!!

    Ok before that i will write down how i burn the DVD.

    1) I mount the image file which i gotten from the original
    2) i simply drag the mounted image file to the toast and burn it
    3) In toast i sees all the files from the .dmg file.
    4) I just burn it, and it cant be read. Any idea?
