Hey Guys,

I guess I'll start by saying what I'm trying to do, that might help you help me. I have a bunch of samples in .gig format from the Vienna Symphonic Collection. I'm trying to use them to produce some string arrangements.

Now, I have Kontakt 2 (full version, not just the player) and Sibelius. The string arrangements are already notated in Sibelius. When I go to activate my playback preferences I select Kontakt 2, and in the pull-down menu for "libraries," I can't seem to find any of the Vienna samples.

As far as Kontakt goes, I have little to no knowlege. I clicked on import in the browser and selected the folder full of my samples and it spent some time converting and importing. That should have set up the library correct?

Basically if you could help me figure out what to do with my .gig files to make them a library in Kontakt and/or tell me what I have to do within sibelius to use the samples for playback (ie: can I just select the library, or do I have to program each individual instrument, etc.).

Any help, even the tiniest bit would be awesome. Thanks!

edit: I have Sibelius 5 (forgot to mention)

^^ Thanks...I'll check it out. Additionally with the release of Logic Studio, I might just try using that for sampling.
