Same, and it's annoying seeing how many companies can't be bothered to write actual release notes, or think that all of their users are idiots. 🙄I saw that message with a few apps I updated this week. I always do manual updating just to look at the notes.
I also remember this earlier on the timeline.I also remember this a number of years ago.
You'd never forcibly update apps for that, you'd just let the old API be a wrapper for the new API. Even if you really really really wanted to ditch that API but keep it for a few legacy apps you'd rather just put that limit in the API wrapper than forcibly update the apps. IMO.This is incredibly odd. Could be an api that deprecated but function was replaced by a new one?
I guess there was some Apple Watch update as well.I have seen this before a couple of years ago. Probably to update the FairPlay certificates so it can continue to work after a certain time
AI would be a them, not a him.I bet it’s an AI employee that’s acting weird, and no one can figure out how to stop “him”.
Well I’m hearing it nowAny post with a subject like this needs to have the X-Files theme song auto playing.
Apple AI Agent: Ah... Ahem. This is an oversight. OurSurprisingly no app I had on my iPhone did that
Agreeable.Apple AI Agent: Ah... Ahem. This is an oversight. Ourinfiltration AI was directed to infect-- umm... update agent was designed to repair all users simultaneously; your device must have been powered down during thehack-- I mean push update. Rest assured,my-- errrr... our servers are working tirelessly to ensure that this oversight is remedied before userscatch on-- umm, no... become concerned. Yeah, that's the ticket... nobody'll suspect a thing, now. Now, which VM did I use for the C2 control panel, again? ... What? What do you mean Siri is still listening? Ack! Turn that thing o ---
/jk... probably.
I just love when an app refuses to run because there is a new version and the new version release notes imply just minor polish rather than a critical feature or bug fix.Same, and it's annoying seeing how many companies can't be bothered to write actual release notes, or think that all of their users are idiots. 🙄
That’s what he said.AI would be a them, not a him.
