Yes, I see it

This is incredibly odd. Could be an api that deprecated but function was replaced by a new one?
You'd never forcibly update apps for that, you'd just let the old API be a wrapper for the new API. Even if you really really really wanted to ditch that API but keep it for a few legacy apps you'd rather just put that limit in the API wrapper than forcibly update the apps. IMO.

It's more realistic that they had to address something in the apps themselves, like a security update changing a cert or a library.

It's probable that some apps have been used to infiltrate certain iPhones. I'm not saying these apps contain spyware, but I think the attacker created a clone of the app with malicious code. The only solution is to reinstall the app from the App Store.

Hey, Apple - as long as you're in there, could you work on the Teams app? It's not like there's anywhere to go but up...

Surprisingly no app I had on my iPhone did that
Apple AI Agent: Ah... Ahem. This is an oversight. Agreeable.
But it’s a privacy issue if  does this!

Same, and it's annoying seeing how many companies can't be bothered to write actual release notes, or think that all of their users are idiots. 🙄
I just love when an app refuses to run because there is a new version and the new version release notes imply just minor polish rather than a critical feature or bug fix.
