Heres some shots of what some people were able to do with their iPhones. Mine is modified blue, but my sucky T-Mobile MDA takes very ugly pics, so I post others on the site.

Looks pretty cool! I like a couple of the icons, but I like the idea of being able to change them even better.

EDIT: Will I have to "restore" my phone with a new image every time I want to change icons, or is it really just drag and drop- no lost settings or anything?

Not neccesairly Drag&Drop, all though there is a way to drag and drop, I have yet to use that method though, but you dont have to restore anything, and you wont lose any settings.

They are put on it seems as in the procedure as the ringtones. It seems like too much work for me to make it worthwhile. It looks nice but I think I'll be leaving my phone the way I got it.

Its really not that much work to be honest, theres ways to do the putfile command without having to keep re-typing the input directory, as well as if you keep tapping the right arrow on your keyboard, it will input the text you previously typed, and just change the file you transferring, makes proccess go back so much quicker and easier.

its pretty easy to do. once you've "broken" the iphone, you dont have to repeat that process. So you can use iphoneinterface to add more ringtones and make other changes quickly.

I understand that it's more about that you can rather than the images you posted, but I still think the icons the phone comes with are better than anything I've seen.

Maybe I'll change my mind if I see something really well done.

looked into it... its only for windows.. i tried it on my moms dell. it didnt work. ill wait till apple comes out with ringtones. i dont care about the icons

its about time, looks like the iphone will be more hackable than the Razr

i wonder what apple thinks of this? (their baby got ripped apart)

im not fond of the icons either but still, you can set them to whatever the hell you want, which is the way it should be,

what would really be cool is if you could animate some of the icons, or animate them when you press and hold them

You can always create your own. Also, you can find lots of Icons at www.lakeridgesoftware.com, just download the skin pack you want, resize the icons, and use those.

LOL downloading PPC icons for the iphone, isnt that like Windows XP being skinned as a MAC but the other way around?

Mac being skinned as XP?

i guess its bound to go both ways,

Lakeridge forums was i think the first to skin a PPC as an iphone even before the iphone came out

You dont read clearly.....I never said anything about skinning the phone, I said you may be able to find ICONS there that you may like, resize them, and use them. And if you were to take a look at the icons, MAJORITY of them has no relation to XP or MAC, but there are some there available if thats your taste.

Ha...you can go there, get the ICON set that is OSX 10 themed, and use those, then your iPhone is more "MAC LOOK" than the stock iphone icons.

I'm willing to BET you would love these icons on your iPhone....of course you wouldnt admit, but these look by far better that iPhone stock images.

I just took the Mac OS X icons for iTunes, Safari, Mail, iPhoto, Aperture, etc and stuck them on my iPhone. :)

Looks excellent, but I need a few more.

Yikes - those are awful. While they the black and silver look nice and they are obviously well done they break basic design rules - like making icons noticeable at a glance. The icons all have the same background making them difficult to discern at a glance - something thats very important on a phone.

But yeah, this is what mine looked like before I sent it in. I took it with my loaner iPhone ... kinda blurry, but whatever.
