Some,keys,won`t,work(sorry,space,key,is,not,working!)

Weird;things,are,happening!
While,I,was,working,in,final,cut,(10.5.5),all,of,a,sudden,some,keys,stopped,responding.

The,great,thing,is,I,have,to,edit,this,film,because,the,client,wants,it,in,couple,of,hours...
My,God!!Things,are,getting,stranger!Applications,start,and,quit,whenever,they,want.😱
Return,key,does,diffrent,functions,each,time...
This,is,real,hell.How,can,I,get,out,of,this,trap?

Restarting,does,not,help.

That is weird. For general troubleshooting:

1) Repair permissions thru Disk Utility
2) Reset PRAM
3) Reset SMC

Thanks for responding. For some reason changing the keyboard solved some of the problems. That being said, I have to use one of these -made for windows- keyboards and none of old or new apple keyboards I have in office work with my mac pro.

Also a lot of strange things are happening with the operating system itself. One for example is when I click on time machine it brings up spotlight... 😕
