Just went to have a look at the specs available for mac mini's as my 27" iMac is on the way out! the Australian store only has 8G/256G or 8G/512. the 16G ones are missing! some retailers still have them on their sites, but guessing that is their stock levels. Wondering if this is due to chip shortage or is it possibly due to changes at WWDC? thoughts?

Yeah could be either. In more normal times this was a sign that Apple were due to replace certain models especially when we're so near to an Apple event. That said, recent WWDCs have not commonly been the place to announce new Macs, though we know the Mac Pro has to come at some point, also some rumours suggest Apple may launch the new M2 Macs at this WWDC.

Still available on the US site.

UK store seems to have delays of 3-8+ weeks for most Macs, especially for BTO specs. Few off the shelf specs are available within less than a week - looks like the chip shortage is starting to bite.

The models with 16gb ram have always been a custom configuration. I can spec up a 512gb SSD 16gb ram no issues on the Australian store.

Same for the UK store. Standard spec Minis are available for same-day in-store pick up and two working day delivery. Most BTO Minis seem to be available with 19-21 day delivery (which is similar to what it has been for a while).

Not sure. Mini availability seems similar to what it has been over the last few weeks and Studio availability seems to be improving. Those are the only ones I‘ve been following though and can’t comment on other other product lines.
